Dausens FIRST buble ablution ever

This is only Dausens 3rd time taking a bath with Leaim. This is his first bubble bath ever. He can't take baths like this. well not bubble baths. he broke out with eczema so bad after. he has real sensitive skin. I have to wash him with a peri bottle like the one you get in the hospital after you have a baby. Any how I fill it with water then add only 3 drops of baby soap in it shook up so the soap is just real light on his skin or he breaks out. and he can't have a bath where he lays down in it because if water gets in his ear he gets an ear infection. so i lay him on a baby bath mesh ramp like thing in the tub and dont put water in the tub. I just let the water run and wash him real fast rinse him extremely well then done. poor guy lol any how he loved this even though he broke out real bad after.

Infant Eczema Treatment

!±8± Infant Eczema Treatment

Babies are most likely to suffer from eczema. Before one ponders over baby eczema treatment, let us find out the reasons for dry, itchy skin in babies and eczema. The biggest reason, is hereditary and eczema in infants actually start appearing when they are just 2 or 3 months old. The common form of eczema is atopic eczema, an oversensitive immune system. It follows that if the family members have eczema, hayfever or asthma, the baby may also contract it.

A particular allergen may trigger eczema in tiny tots. Here are some ways of baby eczema treatment

1. Keep the skin moisturized: Infants who have eczema, have drink skin. So you should keep its skin well moisturized. This is done by applying baby oil or baby lotion as advised by the doctor. Certain baby products can harm the soft, smooth skin of the babies, so it is better to ask the doctor about a good moisturizing skin cream suited for infants and babies.

2. Wear Cotton Clothes: Make sure that you baby wears cotton clothes instead of woolen or synthetic material that can cause skin irritation and make it difficult to breathe. Cotton material is the best to soothe the skin and avoid flare-ups in babies.

3. Do not touch the baby with soapy chemicals or detergents: It is common for moms to wash clothes with detergents or use chemical soaps, and then pick the baby. This can be irritating to the baby's skin; so it is better to avoid touching or picking the baby with chemicals on your hand. Make sure your hands are very clean, wash with a natural, chemical-free soap.

4. Bath your baby in lukewarm water: Bathe your baby in lukewarm water, so that the skin retains moisture. Avoid using soap based products especially if your baby is prone to eczema. There are soaps designed for babies with sensitive skin that you can use. Make sure you pat your baby's skin rather than rub it.

5. Keep pets and dust away: Keep your baby away from pets because the hair can be irritating to the skin. If your room has a lot of old books or files, keep your baby away from the room. Clean your baby's room; use soft furnishings and keeps the temperate cool. Instead of making the baby sit directly on the carpet, have it perched on a mat.

6. Cover baby's nails with socks: Itching and scratching can worsen the eczema in infants, so it is better to keep your baby's nails short and cover with socks or cotton mittens.

7. Diet: They can be allergic to some types of foods which can lead to eczema flare-ups. So, if you are weaning your child, introduce one food at a time and see if there is any reaction. Usually wheat products are allergic, so you can leave them out for later to see if what happens. To make sure that your babies are eczema-free, breast-feed them for at least for the first four months. You also have to look at the diet, you intake as a mother. Always check with your doctor about what kind of diet is good for you and your baby.
